Story:

The 737-800 is one of the most successful aircraft to date, famous for it's reliability and efficiency. The 737 was Boeing's contribution to the growing narrow aisle aircraft in the late 60's, the first flight was in 1968.

Since then thousands of 737 has been produced, and the "New Generation series" of 737's was launched in 1993 and since then the Boeing 737-800 has became the bestseller.

Ryanair introduced the 737-800 in 1998 and has since then rapidly expanded it's fleet to over 166 aircraft, by only having one aircraft type in it's fleet it has reduced it's operating costs.

Ryanair has installed fuel saving and performance enhancing winglets on all it's 737-800 aircraft.

The 737 is currently being operated by more than 500 airlines worldwide, with over 8000 aircraft ordered, over 5000 delivered, and over 4500 still in service, at any given time there are over 1,250 airborne worldwide. On average, somewhere in the world, a 737 takes off or lands every five seconds (source: Wikipedia)
